It dives effortlessly into the water and
emerges in a watery plume dinner in tow before flying off with an
unfortunate fish, all in one smooth, graceful motion.
Bill, from Northumberland, said: “It’s difficult to obtain good shots of ospreys, especially in flight and diving.
“Ospreys only eat fish, and experienced ospreys are successful in catching their prey in one out of every four dives.
“They need to consume around 300 to 400 grams of fish per day.
“My favourite shot is of an osprey coming out of the water with its wings shrouding the fish.
“Birds are my speciality, and ospreys are my favourite birds to observe and photograph."
